About

The UK Parliamentary Black Caucus, established by Dawn Butler MP, is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to promoting equality, representation, and justice for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities across the UK. Inspired by similar caucuses in the United States and other nations, this group brings together Members of Parliament from diverse backgrounds to work collaboratively on issues that disproportionately affect these communities.

The caucus builds on the legacy of its predecessors while addressing the challenges of today, including institutional racism, disparities in education, healthcare, and employment, and underrepresentation in decision-making spaces. By leveraging the record-breaking diversity of the current Parliament—the most diverse in UK history—the caucus seeks to drive forward meaningful progress both within the halls of power and across the country.

Through cross-party collaboration, advocacy, and action, the UK Parliamentary Black Caucus aims to create policies that tackle systemic inequalities and build a fairer, more inclusive society for all.

Led by Dawn Butler MP, the caucus represents a bold step toward ensuring that the voices of Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities are heard, valued, and acted upon at the highest levels of government.
